Raisin Pie
Ingredients
- 12 c brown sugar
- 12 tsp cinnamon
- 1 12 c water
- 2 Tbsp butter
- 2 crusts 1 for top and 1 for bottom
- 2 Tbsp cornstarch
- 14 tsp nutmeg
- 2 c raisins
- 2 Tbsp lemon juice
Directions
- Mix sugar cornstarch cinnamon nutmeg water and raisins in a saucepan
- Cook over medium heat stirring until thick
- Remove from heat
- Stir in butter and lemon juice
- Cool slightly
- Pour into a pie shell
- Cut other crust in criss-cross strips
- Put on top
- Brush melted butter on this and bake 20 minutes at 350
