Raisin Sauce For Ham

Ingredients

  • 12 c packed brown sugar
  • 2 Tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tsp ground mustard
  • 1 12 c water
  • 12 c raisins
  • 2 Tbsp white vinegar
  • 2 Tbsp lemon juice
  • 14 tsp grated lemon peel
  • 2 Tbsp butter or margarine

Directions

  1. In a saucepan combine brown sugar cornstarch and mustard Stir in water raisins vinegar lemon juice and peel until blended
  2. Bring to a boil cook and stir for 2 minutes or until thickened
  3. Stir in butter until melted
  4. Serve warm over sliced ham
  5. Yield 2 cups
