Red Cabbage And Kidney Beans

Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp butter or margarine
  • 4 Tbsp minced onion
  • 4 c shredded red cabbage
  • 4 Tbsp brown sugar
  • salt and pepper
  • 4 Tbsp red wine
  • 2 Tbsp vinegar
  • 1 can kidney beans

Directions

  1. In a large skillet cook onion in butter 3 or 4 minutes
  2. Add shredded cabbage
  3. Sprinkle with brown sugar salt and pepper Add wine and vinegar
  4. Add beans cover and cook slowly 30 or 40 minutes
  5. Add more wine or water if needed
  6. Serve with pork chops
