Red Cake

Ingredients
- 12 c shortening
- 1 12 c sugar white
- 2 eggs
- 14 c red food coloring
- 2 Tbsp cocoa
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 c buttermilk or sour milk
- 2 14 c flour
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 tsp soda
- 1 tsp vinegar
Directions
- Cream shortening sugar and eggs until smooth
- Then combine food coloring cocoa and salt to make a paste
- Add this to shortening mixture
- Then add flour milk and vanilla beat until smooth
- Remove from mixer and fold in vinegar and soda
- Bake 30 to 35 minutes at 350
