Regal Peach Cake

Ingredients

  • 1 c butter or margarine
  • 3 c sifted flour
  • 2 c sugar
  • 3 tsp baking powder
  • 34 c milk
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 can large cling peaches
  • 1 c whipping cream

Directions

  1. Soften butter or margarine in large bowl
  2. Sift together flour sugar and baking powder
  3. Add butter and milk
  4. Beat 2 minutes at medium speed
  5. Add eggs and vanilla
  6. Beat 2 minutes more
  7. Turn into a greased and floured 9-inch tube pan
  8. Bake at 350 for 1 hour and 10 minutes
  9. Cool split into 2 layers
  10. Drain peaches Whip the cream
  11. Spread half of cream and peaches between layers Spread other half of cream over top arrange remaining peaches sunburst-fashion over cream
  12. Makes 10 to 12 servings
