Rhubarb Cake

Ingredients

  • 2 12 c raw rhubarb cut up and put in bottom of pan
  • 6 Tbsp butter
  • 1 12 c sugar
  • 1 c milk
  • 12 tsp salt
  • 2 c flour
  • 2 tsp cornstarch
  • 2 c boiling water
  • 2 c sugar

Directions

  1. Cream the sugar and butter
  2. Add flour salt and baking powder
  3. Alternate with milk
  4. Spread over rhubarb
  5. Mix sugar salt and cornstarch spread over batter
  6. Pour 2 cups boiling water over that and sprinkle with cinnamon
  7. Bake at 350 for 1 hour
