Rhubarb Conserve

Ingredients

  • 5 lb rhubarb
  • 1 No 2 can crushed pineapple
  • 7 c 3 lb sugar
  • 3 small unpeeled oranges diced
  • 12 c chopped walnuts

Directions

  1. Wash rhubarb cut into 12-inch pieces
  2. Combine in heavy kettle with remaining ingredients
  3. Bring to a boil stirring frequently
  4. Reduce heat and simmer on low heat for about 1 12 hours or until like conserve in consistency
  5. Remove from heat Pour into clean sterilized jars
  6. Makes 12 half pints
