Rhubarb Dessert

Ingredients

  • 4 c chopped fresh or frozen rhubarb
  • 1 c sugar
  • 14 c strawberry gelatin powder
  • 1 pkg white cake mix
  • 1 c hot water
  • 12 c flaked coconut
  • 13 c slivered almonds
  • 6 Tbsp melted butter or margarine

Directions

  1. In a greased 13 x 9 baking pan arrange rhubarb In a mixing bowl combine sugar and gelatin sprinkle over rhubarb Then sprinkle the dry cake mix over the gelatin mixture Pour hot water over cake mix but do not stir Top with coconut and almonds drizzle with butter Bake in 350 oven for 40 to 45 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean
