Rhubarb Pudding Cake

Ingredients

  • 2 c sliced rhubarb
  • 12 stick butter or oleo
  • 1 12 c sugar
  • 12 c bran flakes
  • 34 c flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 12 tsp salt
  • 12 c milk
  • 3 12 tsp cornstarch
  • 12 c boiling water

Directions

  1. Slice rhubarb into 1-inch lengths
  2. Arrange in a greased 8-inch square pan
  3. Cream the shortening and 34 cup of sugar Blend in bran flakes
  4. Sift flour with baking powder and salt add alternately with milk to shortening and sugar mixture
  5. Spread batter over rhubarb
