Roasted Garlic
Ingredients
- 8 whole heads fresh garlic
- 13 c olive oil
- 1 12 tsp freshly ground pepper
- 1 12 tsp dried thyme
- 1 tsp salt
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350
- Trim off each garlic head to expose the tops of the cloves
- Place heads in shallow baking dish such as a 9-inch pie plate
- Drizzle garlic with oil and sprinkle with pepper salt and thyme
- Roast garlic for 30 minutes
- Reduce heat to 250 and cook for 1 hour longer
- Serve garlic with slices of crusty French bread butter and goat cheese such as Feta
- Pop the cloves out of the skins and spread on bread
