Rolled Oats Cake With Peanut Butter Icing

Ingredients

  • 1 12 c water
  • 1 c rolled oats
  • 1 stick margarine
  • 1 c sugar
  • 1 c brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 12 c flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 12 tsp soda
  • 12 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 c raisins optional

Directions

  1. Put water in medium kettle
  2. Boil
  3. Remove from heat
  4. Add oats to water and stir well
  5. Add margarine and both sugars
  6. Stir until melted
  7. Add eggs beat well
  8. Add dry ingredients which have been sifted
  9. Stir well add raisins and mix
  10. Pour batter into large well-greased pan
  11. Bake at 350 for 30 minutes
