Ronald ReaganS Favorite Macaroni And Cheese

Ingredients

  • 12 lb macaroni
  • 1 tsp butter
  • 1 egg beaten
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp dry mustard
  • 3 c grated sharp cheese
  • 1 c milk

Directions

  1. Boil macaroni in water until tender and drain thoroughly Stir in beaten egg
  2. Mix mustard and salt with 1 tablespoon hot water and add to milk
  3. Add cheese leaving enough to sprinkle on top
  4. Pour into buttered casserole
  5. Add milk sprinkle with cheese
  6. Bake at 350 for about 45 minutes or until custard is set and top is crusty
