Rum Duff

Ingredients
- 2 c canned applesauce
- 14 c sugar
- 3 Tbsp rum or 1 tsp rum extract
- 1 Tbsp grated orange rind
- 2 c broken gingersnaps
- 12 c heavy cream whipped
Directions
- Combine applesauce sugar rum grated orange rind and gingersnaps
- Stir until well mixed
- Chill
- Just before serving fold in whipped cream and pile into sherbet dishes
- If desired top with additional cream and nuts
