Rum Sauce

Ingredients

  • 14 c butter
  • 1 c sugar
  • 2 Tbsp rum or 2 tsp rum flavoring
  • yolks of 2 eggs
  • 12 c milk or cream

Directions

  1. Cream the butter Add sugar gradually then rum flavoring very slowly Add well beaten egg yolks and milk or cream Cook over hot water until it thickens as a custard Pour onto beaten egg whites It is delicious on bread pudding
