Rum Sauce

Ingredients
- 14 c butter
- 1 c sugar
- 2 Tbsp rum or 2 tsp rum flavoring
- yolks of 2 eggs
- 12 c milk or cream
Directions
- Cream the butter Add sugar gradually then rum flavoring very slowly Add well beaten egg yolks and milk or cream Cook over hot water until it thickens as a custard Pour onto beaten egg whites It is delicious on bread pudding
