Russian Tea Cakes

Ingredients

  • 1 c soft butter
  • 12 c sifted confectioners sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 2 14 c flour
  • 14 tsp salt
  • 34 c chopped nuts
  • 1 c confectioners sugar for rolling in

Directions

  1. Mix butter sugar and vanilla well
  2. Blend flour and salt Stir in first mixture
  3. Mix in nuts chill
  4. Heat oven to 400 Roll in 1-inch balls
  5. Place on ungreased cookie sheet
  6. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes
  7. While still warm roll in confectioners sugar Cool roll again
  8. Makes about 4 dozen cookies
