Russian Teacakes

Ingredients

  • 1 c soft butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 14 tsp salt
  • 12 c powdered sugar
  • 2 14 c flour
  • 34 c chopped pecans or walnuts

Directions

  1. Mix butter sugar and vanilla thoroughly
  2. Measure flour by sifting
  3. Blend flour and salt stir into butter mixture Mix in nuts Chill at least 2 hours
  4. Heat oven to 400
  5. Roll dough into 1-inch balls
  6. Place on ungreased cookie sheet
  7. Bake 10 to 12 minutes while still warm
  8. Roll in powdered sugar
  9. Cool and roll in sugar again
  10. Makes 4 dozen
