Russian Teacakes

Ingredients
- 1 c softened butter
- 12 c sifted powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 2 14 c plain flour
- 14 tsp salt
- 34 c finely chopped pecans
Directions
- Mix butter sugar and vanilla thoroughly
- Measure flour by dip-level-pour method or by sifting with salt then measure Blend flour and salt with butter mixture
- Mix in nuts
- Chill at least 30 minutes
- Make into 1-inch balls
- Place on ungreased baking sheet
- Bake at 350 on middle shelf of oven 8 to 12 minutes check bottoms for browning
- Roll in powdered sugar while still warm
- Cool
- Roll again roll a third time to make whiter
- Yields about 4 dozen
