Salisbury Steaks With Onions

Ingredients

  • 1-lb lean ground beef or chuck
  • 1 egg
  • 14 c seasoned bread crumbs
  • 14 tsp salt
  • 14 tsp pepper
  • 1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 12 Tbsp butter
  • 1 medium onion thinly sliced
  • 1 12 Tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 1 14 c low sodium beef broth
  • 1 tsp dried parsley

Directions

  1. Preheat broiler Spray a foil-lined broiler pan with cooking spray Combine beef egg bread crumbs salt pepper and Worcestershire sauce in a large bowl mix well Shape into oval patties Place patties on prepared pan broil turning once until no linger pink about 10 minutes Meanwhile melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat Add onion saute until translucent about 4 minutes Sprinkle in flour Cook stirring continually about 2 minutes Gradually stir broth into skillet Cook stirring continually until sauce thickens about 2 minutes Stir in parsley Pour onion gravy over patties Serve immediately Serves four
