Sand Tarts
Ingredients
- 1 c butter or margarine
- 4 Tbsp powdered sugar
- 2 c flour
- 1 12 tsp baking powder
- 12 tsp salt
- 1 Tbsp vanilla
- 1 c finely chopped pecans
Directions
- Cream butter and sugar
- Sift flour baking powder and salt Gradually add flour mixture to creamed butter
- Add vanilla and nuts
- Drop in 1-inch balls on a greased cookie sheet and then mash slightly flat
- Bake at 375 until brown
- If desired roll in powdered sugar
- Makes 5 dozen cookies
