Saucy Meatball Sandwich

Ingredients

• 4 6-inch long French style rolls
• 1 beaten egg
• 1 lb bulk Italian sausage
• 1 small green pepper finely chopped
• 1 small onion finely chopped
• 2 cloves garlic minced
• 2 Tbsp margarine
• 1 8 oz can pizza sauce
• 12 tsp cornstarch
• 14 c shredded Mozzarella cheese

Directions

1. Cut a thin slice off the top of each roll and reserve
2. Hollow out roll bottoms leaving 12-inch shells reserve bread pieces Tear tops and bread pieces into pea size pieces 34 cup soft bread crumbs
3. Stir together bread crumbs and egg
4. Add sausage mix well
5. Shape mixture into 16 1 12-inch meatballs
6. Arrange meatballs in an 8 x 8 x 2-inch baking dish
7. Cover with vented clear plastic wrap
8. Microcook meatballs on High 5 12 to 7 12 minutes or until juices run clear turning meatballs over and rotating dish once or twice
9. Drain
