Saucy Steak Skillet

Ingredients

  • 1 lb boneless round steak cut into serving pieces
  • 14 c all-purpose flour
  • 1 Tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 large onion chopped about 1 c
  • 1 16 oz can whole potatoes drained reserve liquid
  • 14 c catsup
  • 1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tsp bell pepper flakes
  • 1 tsp instant beef bouillon
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 13 tsp dried marjoram leaves
  • 14 tsp pepper
  • 1 10 oz pkg frozen Italian green beans
  • 1 2 oz jar sliced pimiento drained

Directions

  1. Coat steak pieces with flour
  2. Pound into beef
  3. Brown beef in oil in 10-inch skillet
  4. Push beef to side
  5. Cook and stir onion in oil until tender
  6. Drain
  7. Add enough water to potato liquid to make 1 cup
  8. Mix liquid catsup Worcestershire sauce pepper flakes instant bouillon salt marjoram and pepper
  9. Pour on beef and onion
  10. Heat to boiling
  11. Reduce heat
  12. Cover and simmer until beef is tender about 1 14 to 1 12 hours
  13. Rinse frozen beans under running cold water to separate
  14. Add potatoes beans and pimiento to skillet
  15. Heat to boiling
  16. Reduce heat cover and simmer until beans are tender 10 to 15 minutes
  17. Serves 4
