Ingredients

  • 2 medium onions sliced
  • 12 lemon sliced
  • 1 c red wine vinegar
  • 1 12 c water
  • 12 whole cloves
  • 6 bay leaves
  • 6 whole black peppercorns
  • 1 Tbsp salt
  • 1 Tbsp sugar
  • 14 tsp ginger
  • 4 lb beef roast
  • 2 Tbsp fat
  • 14 c water
  • 13 c gingersnaps

Directions

  1. Combine all but last three ingredients for marinade
  2. Add meat
  3. Cover and refrigerate for about 36 hours
  4. Turn meat two times daily
