Ingredients

  • cabbage heads shredded
  • canning salt
  • hot water

Directions

  1. Place shredded cabbage in sterile jars
  2. Use 1 teaspoon salt per quart and 12 teaspoon salt per pint
  3. Cover with hot water and place lids on tight
  4. Store in a cool dark place for one month before tasting
