Sausage Chowder
Ingredients
- 1 lb bulk pork sausage
- 1 16 oz can kidney beans undrained
- 1 28 oz can tomatoes
- 1 medium onion
- 2 cloves garlic
- 12 tsp thyme
- 12 tsp oregano
- 1 c diced potato
- 1 medium green pepper
- salt and pepper to taste
- 2 c water
- 2 Tbsp parsley
Directions
- Brown
- sausage
- in large boiler or Dutch oven
- Crumble sausage
- well
- and add onion and garlic
- Drain well
- Stir in all ingredients
- except potatoes and green pepper
- Cover and simmer 2
- hours stirring occasionally
- Add green pepper and potatoes and simmer 20 additional minutes
