Sausage Cornbread Bake

Ingredients

  • 1 lb sausage
  • 1 large onion chopped
  • 2 eggs lightly beaten
  • 1 12 c self-rising corn meal
  • 1 17 oz can cream-style corn
  • 34 c milk
  • 14 c vegetable oil
  • 2 c grated Cheddar cheese

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 425
  2. Grease 10-inch skillet
  3. Brown sausage and onion drain well
  4. Combine eggs cornmeal corn milk and oil
  5. Pour half of mixture into skillet
  6. Sprinkle with sausage mixture and cheese
  7. Pour remaining batter over top
  8. Bake 30 to 40 minutes
  9. Let cool 10 minutes before serving
