Sausage Stir-Fry

Ingredients

  • 2 c coarsely shredded cabbage
  • 1 small onion sliced
  • 3 celery ribs diagonally sliced
  • 4 to 5 pieces cooked link sausage about 1 lb sliced in rings
  • 1 c V-8 juice
  • 2 c weak beef broth made with bouillon cubes
  • 1 12 Tbsp soy sauce
  • pepper
  • 2 Tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 Tbsp sesame oil

Directions

  1. Heat a wok or large pot until hot
  2. Add a small amount of oil to coat bottom
  3. When oil is hot add cabbage onion and celery and stir-fry until it is about half done
  4. Add sausage rings and continue stirring over high heat until sausage is heated through Add V-8 juice beef broth soy sauce and pepper
  5. Cook until heated
  6. Thicken with cornstarch and a little of the reserved beef broth
  7. Heat through
  8. Add sesame oil just before serving
  9. Serve over hot fluffy rice
