Sausage Stuffing

Ingredients

  • 8-inch pan cornbread
  • 5 or 6 biscuits or 5 or 6 slices bread toasted
  • 1 c minced celery
  • 2 small c sliced mushrooms
  • 12 medium onion minced
  • 2 tsp rubbed sage
  • 1 lb sausage
  • broth from boiled giblets
  • salt pepper and garlic powder to taste
  • pecans optional

Directions

  1. Brown sausage
  2. Remove from pan
  3. Put celery and onions in same pan and saute until tender
  4. Set aside
  5. Crumble cornbread and bread in large bowl
  6. Add sauteed vegetables and sausage
  7. Add mushrooms with juice
  8. Mix Add all dry ingredients
  9. Mix Pour in broth little at a time mixing until all added
  10. Stuff turkey and bake
  11. Youll have enough to bake some by itself
