Savory Kraut

Ingredients
- 1 Tbsp butter
- 1 medium onion coarsely chopped
- 1 can sauerkraut dont drain
- 12 c water
- 2 Tbsp dark brown sugar
- 1 Tbsp red wine vinegar
- caraway seed as desired
Directions
- Saute onion in butter until golden add other ingredients Cover and simmer gently until most of liquid is gone
- This is excellent with Hillshire Farm Polish sausage wieners or to use in Reuben sandwiches
