Savory Peas And RiceFor Microwave

Ingredients

• 12 c butter or margarine
• 1 large onion chopped
• 1 c regular rice Uncle Bens does best
• 2 17 oz cans chicken broth
• 12 tsp salt
• 14 tsp pepper
• 1 large can green peas drained
• 1 2 12 oz jar sliced mushrooms drained optional

Directions

1. Place butter in a 2-quart casserole
2. Cover and microwave on High for 1 minute
3. Add onion cover and microwave on High for 3 minutes
4. Add rice chicken broth salt and pepper
5. Cover and microwave on High for 30 minutes
6. Stir in peas and mushrooms cover and microwave for 5 minutes
