Savory Spaghetti Sauce
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 large onion chopped
- 2 15 oz cans tomato sauce
- 1 garlic clove minced
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 Tbsp minced basil
- 2 tsp oregano
- 2 tsp sugar
- 12 to 1 tsp salt
- 12 tsp pepper
- hot cooked spaghetti
Directions
- In a Dutch oven cook ground beef and onion until meat is browned and onion is tender
- Drain
- Add the next 8 ingredients Bring to a boil
- Reduce heat cover and simmer for 1 hour stirring occasionally
- Remove the bay leaf
- Serve over spaghetti
- Yield
- 4 to 6 servings about 1 quart
