Savory Upside-Down Pie
Ingredients
- 7 12 oz pkg frozen puff pastry
- 1 12 lb ground beef
- 1 tsp salt
- 12 tsp pepper
- 1 large onion chopped
- 3 egg yolks
- 1 c mushrooms
- 4 oz bacon slices
- 12 c crumbled Blue cheese
- 1 Tbsp chopped sorrel and chervil
Directions
- Thaw pastry
- Mix ground beef salt pepper and onion bind with egg yolks
- Wash and quarter mushrooms
- Cover the bottom of an 8-inch loose bottomed cake pan with the bacon
- Arrange the cheese herbs and mushroom quarters on top
- Cover the meat mixture pressing it down firmly and smoothly on the top
