Scalloped Cabbage
Ingredients
- 4 c chopped cabbage
- 3 Tbsp cooking oil
- 3 Tbsp flour
- 12 tsp salt
- dash of pepper
- 1 c milk
- 1 c shredded Cheddar cheese
- 34 c bread crumbs
- 2 Tbsp butter melted
Directions
- Place cabbage in a greased 2-quart casserole set aside
- In a saucepan heat oil over medium heat
- Stir in flour salt and pepper cook until bubbly
- Gradually stir in milk cook and stir until thickened
- Fold in cheese
- Pour over cabbage
- Combine bread crumbs and butter sprinkle on top
- Bake uncovered at 350 for 20 to 30 minutes or until bubbly
- Serve immediately Yield 4 to 6 servings
