Scalloped Tomatoes
Ingredients
- 1 onion chopped
- 4 Tbsp butter
- 12 c brown or white sugar optional
- 1 12 c cracker or dry bread crumbs
- 5 c tomatoes skinned and quartered
- 1 tsp salt
- 12 tsp pepper
- 3 eggs beaten light
- 2 c creamed corn
- 1 to 2 Tbsp sugar
- 12 tsp salt
- 1 c bread or cracker crumbs
- 2 Tbsp melted butter
- 2 c milk
- 12 c cream
Directions
- Stir all ingredients into well-beaten eggs
- Pour into greased oven dish
- Place dish in pan with some water
- Bake at 350 for 1 hour or until custard is set
- Serve hot
