School Rolls

Ingredients

  • 1 c shortening
  • 1 12 tsp salt
  • 2 eggs beaten
  • 1 c lukewarm water
  • 2 pkg dry yeast
  • 6 c plain flour unsifted
  • 12 c sugar
  • 1 c boiling water

Directions

  1. In large bowl pour boiling water over shortening sugar and salt
  2. Blend and cool
  3. Sprinkle yeast into lukewarm water and stir until dissolved
  4. Combine with beaten eggs add to sugar salt and shortening
  5. Add flour all at once and blend well
  6. Stir until you cannot stir any longer Cover and place in refrigerator
