Scotch Scones
Ingredients
- 4 12 c flour
- 1 lb butter or margarine
- 1 c sugar
- sprinkle of salt and nutmeg
- 1 12 tsp almond flavoring
- 1 lb chopped almonds optional
Directions
- Cream sugar and margarine
- Add other ingredients
- Form into balls and pat flat about 12-inch thick
- Bake slowly at 300 about 1 hour until pale tan in color
- While warm sprinkle with confectioners sugar
- Store in tins
- They are better when aged
