Seafood Chowder
Ingredients
- 14 c butter or margarine
- 12 c coarsely chopped onion
- 1 c thinly sliced carrots
- 2 Tbsp flour
- 1 c water
- 1 12 tsp salt
- 18 tsp pepper
- 3 c milk or substitute 1 c half and half
- 12 tsp blended herbs
- 1 c cubed fish
- 1 Tbsp chopped parsley
- 1 lb shrimp
- 1 c diced potatoes
Directions
- Saute onion and carrots in butter until onion is tender Sprinkle with flour and stir
- Add water salt and pepper and simmer 10 to 15 minutes
- Add remaining ingredients and simmer approximately 30 minutes
- Yield 6 to 8 servings
