Seafood Gumbo

Ingredients
- 1 clove garlic minced
- 1 large onion chopped
- 12 green pepper diced
- 14 c oil
- 1 14 12 oz can whole tomatoes
- 1 6 oz can tomato paste
- 3 c water
- 1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tsp salt
- 1 bay leaf
- 12 tsp chili powder
- 12 tsp crushed basil leaves
- 12 lb crab meat
- 12 lb raw shrimp shelled and cleaned
- 12 lb fresh haddock or halibut cut in chunks
- 3 c hot cooked rice
Directions
- In Dutch oven saute garlic onion and green pepper in hot oil stirring until tender
- Add remaining ingredients except seafood and rice
- Simmer uncovered 45 minutes remove bay leaf Add seafood
- Cover and simmer 10 to 12 minutes
- Serve over rice
