Self-Filled Cupcakes

Ingredients

  • 1 box German chocolate cake mix
  • 1 8 oz pkg softened cream cheese
  • 12 tsp salt
  • 23 c granulated sugar
  • 1 egg beaten
  • 1 6 oz pkg chocolate bits

Directions

  1. Prepare cake mix as directed on box
  2. Fill each greased cupcake cup 23 full
  3. Cream together the cheese salt sugar and egg until light and fluffy
  4. Stir in chocolate bits
  5. Drop a tablespoon of this mixture on top of each cupcake
  6. Bake in a 350 oven for 25 to 30 minutes
  7. Cream mixture will be in the center of each cake
  8. These may be frosted with chocolate icing if desired
