Self-Filled Cupcakes
Ingredients
- 1 box German chocolate cake mix
- 1 8 oz pkg softened cream cheese
- 12 tsp salt
- 23 c granulated sugar
- 1 egg beaten
- 1 6 oz pkg chocolate bits
Directions
- Prepare cake mix as directed on box
- Fill each greased cupcake cup 23 full
- Cream together the cheese salt sugar and egg until light and fluffy
- Stir in chocolate bits
- Drop a tablespoon of this mixture on top of each cupcake
- Bake in a 350 oven for 25 to 30 minutes
- Cream mixture will be in the center of each cake
- These may be frosted with chocolate icing if desired
