Seven Minute Frosting

Ingredients

  • 2 egg whites unbeaten
  • 1 12 c sugar
  • 5 Tbsp water
  • 1 12 tsp light corn syrup
  • 1 tsp vanilla

Directions

  1. Combine egg whites sugar water and corn syrup in top of a double boiler beating with rotary eggbeater until thoroughly mixed
  2. Place over rapidly boiling water beat constantly with rotary eggbeater and cook 7 minutes or until frosting will stand in peaks
  3. Remove from boiling water
  4. Add vanilla beat until thick enough to spread
  5. Makes enough frosting to cover tops and sides of two 9-inch layers or 2 dozen cupcakes
