Shaker Corn Relish

Ingredients
- 4 c sugar
- 4 c vinegar
- 1 Tbsp plain salt
- 1 Tbsp celery seed
- 1 teaspoon turmeric
- 2 Tbsp dry mustard optional
- 4 c onions chopped
- 4 c tomatoes chopped
- 4 c cucumbers chopped
- 4 c corn
- 4 c cabbage chopped
Directions
- In a large dutch oven combine the sugar vinegar and spices and bring to a boiling point
- Add the vegetables and cook 25 minutes stirring occasionally
- Pack in hot scalded jars and seal For variety add 2 Tbsp of dry mustard
- Makes 12 pints
