SharonS Gingersnaps
Ingredients
- 34 c shortening
- 14 c molasses
- 2 c flour
- 12 tsp salt
- 12 tsp ginger
- 1 c sugar
- 1 egg
- 2 Tbsp baking soda
- 12 tsp cinnamon
- 14 tsp cloves
Directions
- Add sugar shortening molasses and egg together in mixing bowl
- Blend well
- Stir in remaining ingredients
- Chill
- Form into 1 inch balls and roll in sugar
- Place on lightly greased cookie sheet 2 inches apart
- Bake at 375 for 8 to 10 minutes Makes 48 cookies
