Sherry Trifle

Ingredients

  • 1 4 oz pkg ladyfingers split in half
  • 3 egg yolks
  • 3 Tbsp sugar
  • grated rind of 1 lemon
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 2 Tbsp sugar
  • 12 c sherry
  • 1 3 oz pkg Jell-O
  • 3 Tbsp flour
  • 2 c milk simmering
  • 1 c heavy cream
  • 1 tsp vanilla

Directions

  1. Arrange layer of ladyfingers in attractive dish or serving bowl 1-quart size
  2. Sprinkle ladyfingers with sherry
  3. Make up Jell-O according to package directions pour Jell-O over ladyfingers
  4. Chill until set
