Shipwreck Stew

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 3 medium carrots sliced
  • 1 8 oz can tomato sauce
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 c chopped onion
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 14 tsp pepper
  • 3 c cubed peeled potatoes
  • 1 9 oz pkg frozen green beans thawed
  • 14 c uncooked long grain rice
  • 12 to 1 tsp chili powder
  • 14 c minced fresh parsley
  • 1 c water
  • 1 16 oz can kidney beans rinsed and drained

Directions

  1. In a skillet brown ground beef with onion over medium heat Drain fat
  2. In a 3-quart casserole combine beef mixture with all remaining ingredients
  3. Cover and bake at 350 for about 2 hours or until rice and potatoes are tender
