Shipwreck Stew
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 3 medium carrots sliced
- 1 8 oz can tomato sauce
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 c chopped onion
- 1 tsp salt
- 14 tsp pepper
- 3 c cubed peeled potatoes
- 1 9 oz pkg frozen green beans thawed
- 14 c uncooked long grain rice
- 12 to 1 tsp chili powder
- 14 c minced fresh parsley
- 1 c water
- 1 16 oz can kidney beans rinsed and drained
Directions
- In a skillet brown ground beef with onion over medium heat Drain fat
- In a 3-quart casserole combine beef mixture with all remaining ingredients
- Cover and bake at 350 for about 2 hours or until rice and potatoes are tender
