Shortcake
Ingredients
- 2 c flour
- 4 tsp baking powder
- 12 tsp salt
- 12 c sugar
- 12 c shortening
- 1 egg
- 1 c milk
Directions
- Sift dry ingredients and cut in shortening
- Add beaten egg and milk and mix well
- Put in muffin tins and bake at 400 until browned
- Makes 12 and that depends on the size of the muffin tin Good with any fresh fruit especially strawberries
