Shrimp-Mushroom Casserole
Ingredients
- 3 Tbsp butter
- 3 Tbsp flour
- 2 c milk or cream
- 12 c dry sherry
- 1 lb cooked cleaned shrimp
- 1 c sliced mushrooms
- 1 c blanched slivered almonds
- grated Parmesan cheese
- cracker crumbs
Directions
- Melt butter
- Add flour cook gently 3 to 4 minutes
- Remove from heat
- Add milk while stirring
- Return to heat and cook until thick stirring occasionally
- Stir in sherry
- In a small greased casserole layer half the shrimp mushrooms almonds and sauce
- Repeat layers
- Top with Parmesan and crumbs
- Bake at 350 for 30 minutes
