Shrimp And Ham Jambalaya

Ingredients

  • 34 lb ham cubed
  • 1 12 to 2 lb cooked and peeled shrimp
  • 1 onion chopped
  • 1 green pepper chopped
  • 1 12 c long grain rice uncooked
  • 1 can chicken broth
  • 12 tsp garlic salt
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 12 tsp thyme
  • 5 slices bacon

Directions

  1. Fry bacon remove from pan
  2. In same pan saute onion and pepper in the bacon grease until tender
  3. Add uncooked rice cook about 5 minutes stirring frequently
  4. Add chicken broth garlic salt thyme and bay leaf
  5. Cover and cook on low about 15 minutes Add shrimp and ham
  6. Cover and cook for 20 minutes or until rice is tender
