Shrimp Creole Microwave

Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp butter or margarine
  • 34 c chopped green pepper
  • 1 c chopped onion
  • 1 c chopped celery
  • 1 to 2 Tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 1 14 12 oz can tomatoes
  • 5 to 6 drops Tabasco sauce
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 18 tsp pepper
  • 1 lb shrimp shelled and cleaned
  • 1 bay leaf

Directions

  1. Place butter in 2 12-quart casserole
  2. Heat full power 20 to 30 seconds or until melted
  3. Stir in green pepper onion and celery Cook full power 6 to 8 minutes until vegetables are tender Stir halfway through Sprinkle vegetables with flour and stir to blend
  4. Mix in tomatoes Cook full power until heated 4 to 6 minutes Stir halfway through cooking time Blend in remaining ingredients Cook full power about 6 minutes or until shrimp are fully cooked
  5. Stir twice during time
  6. Remove bay leaf
