Shrimp Jambalaya

Shrimp Jambalaya

Ingredients

  • 1 12 lb peeled and drained shrimp
  • 14 c chopped onion
  • 14 c chopped green pepper
  • 14 c margarine melted
  • 1 Tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 18 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 Tbsp vinegar
  • 2 c peeled chopped tomatoes
  • 1 10 oz pkg frozen okra
  • 2 c hot cooked rice

Directions

  1. Peel and devein shrimp
  2. Saute onion and green pepper in butter until tender
  3. Combine flour and dry seasonings blend into onion mixture
  4. Stir in Worcestershire sauce and vinegar until smooth
  5. Add tomatoes and okra stirring constantly until thickened
  6. Add shrimp and simmer uncovered for 15 minutes
  7. Stir in rice
  8. Yields 6 servings
