Simple Strawberry Cake

Ingredients

• 2 c all-purpose flour
• 12 tsp soda
• 12 tsp salt
• 3 eggs
• 1 c vegetable oil
• 1 c sugar
• 1 3 oz pkg strawberry gelatin
• 12 c buttermilk
• 1 10 oz pkg frozen strawberries thawed

Directions

1. Preheat oven to 350
2. Grease and flour 2 8-inch round cake pans
3. Combine flour salt and soda set aside
4. Beat eggs in large mixing bowl
5. Add oil sugar gelatin and buttermilk mix until well blended
6. Add flour mixture and blend well
7. Fold berries into batter
8. Pour batter into prepared pans
9. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes or until golden brown
10. Remove from oven
11. Cool 5 minutes turn out of pans onto rack and cool completely
12. Frost with Buttercream Icing
