Skordalia Garlic Sauce
Ingredients
- 3 to 4 cloves garlic
- 23 c shelled walnuts
- 23 c bread crumbs
- 1 12 Tbsp vinegar
- 14 c oil
- 14 tsp salt
- 1 to 2 Tbsp cold water
Directions
- Pound the garlic with the salt and walnuts until well blended and creamy
- If you like the taste of chopped nuts just mix the chopped nuts with the salt and garlic which you put through a garlic press
- Add the bread crumbs with oil a little at a time then the vinegar and finally the cold water
- Put enough water to make the mixture soft like a paste
