Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp vegetable oil
  • 2 c Aunt Jemima self-rising corn meal mix
  • 2 Tbsp sugar optional
  • 1 12 c buttermilk
  • 1 egg beaten
  • 12 stick butter

Directions

  1. Heat oven to 425 Put vegetable oil in 10-inch skillet Heat in oven for 3 minutes tilt skillet to coat bottom evenly Combine corn meal melted butter sugar buttermilk and egg Mix well Pour into hot skillet bake 25 to 30 minutes
